How to read Kindle books on PC

Anybody can learn how to read Kindle books on PC, cell phone or any other Android device for free.  I will provide exact instructions so that even the most computer-challenged person can download the free Kindle app for PC in seconds and you can start reading Kindle books on your laptop PC or cell phone immediately.

The Kindle Reading App is free to download and use and does not place spam links or other malware or tracking software on your hard drive.  It has been downloaded millions and millions of times, so you do not need to be concerned about downloading or using the app.  Simply put, the Kindle Reading App for PC allows you to read any Kindle book on almost any digital device, including PC, laptop, tablet or cell phone.

Once you have used the app once, you will see the benefits of using the Kindle app on a large screened device, like a laptop or tablet.  It’s much easier to actually read the books, it’s easier to manage your ordered books and it’s usually faster to download the books and get reading!

How Do I Read Kindle Books on My PC?

Easy!  There are two ways to download the Kindle Reading App:

  1. Click on the Free Amazon Kindle Reading App.   After you download the app, you will be re-directed to the Kindle store, where you can shop for books to read.
  2. You can go to Amazon’s Kindle store, find a book that you want to read and then click on the Reading App box to download it.  The Reading App box is just below the order box in the top right corner of the page.  Then, you can proceed to order your book and then read Kindle books on PC.

At any point in time on Amazon there are thousands of books available to read for Free!  You can use the Amazon search bar to find books that you like, or you can search from inside your favorite Kindle book category.

The Kindle Unlimited program is a very good deal for people that read at least 3 books a month.  For $10/mo, you can read an unlimited number of Kindle books*,  I have been on KU for about 6 months.  It’s great because there is no risk to try out new books and authors.  Try a book for free.  If you get 20 pages in and the book sucks… just stop reading and delete at no cost.  You can’t beat that.  For me as an author, KU also allows me to read or skim dozens of books about writing, publishing and promoting books.  Kindle Unlimited has a 30 Day Free Trial for test driving the service.

Amazon also has a special offer going on right now where anybody interested in trying out audiobooks can do so with a 30 Day Free Audible Trial and also receive 2 Free Audiobooks of their choosing.  That’s a pretty sweet deal and once you start listening to books in the car, you will be hooked.

* Participating authors and books only.  Many popular books are not available on KU.
